  * [[wp>St Vincent]] - I was expecting good things from Bill Murray and this was it. It was an excellent movie. It subverted the few times I thought it was going to get predictably cheesy. I still think about the movie from time to time.
  * [[wp>The Babadook]] - Probably one of the best horror films of 2014. Excellent movie, great pacing, creepy atmosphere.

  * [[wp>Tropic Thunder]] - Excellent.  Both Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise were great in this.

  * [[wp>Shaun of the Dead]] - This is the zombie apocalypse comedy horror I wish I'd made.
  * [[wp>Dead Man's Shoes]] - I thought this was superb. Excellently acted, the scene following the drugs in the kettle was awesomely done. Will need to look for more by the writer and especially the director.
