• Upgrade - This was a fun sci-fi action movie. Some great scenes and camera work.

• Ex Machina - Fascinating. Beautiful. Strange.

• St Vincent - I was expecting good things from Bill Murray and this was it. It was an excellent movie. It subverted the few times I thought it was going to get predictably cheesy. I still think about the movie from time to time.
• The Babadook - Probably one of the best horror films of 2014. Excellent movie, great pacing, creepy atmosphere.

• Cabin in the Woods - Superb film. Poked fun at a lot of tropes, good pacing and acting.

• Tucker and Dale vs Evil - One of my absolute favourite horror comedies.
• Scott Pilgrim vs The World - Excellent film.

• FAQ About Time Travel - I love this movie. I thought the conversations were well done and the acting (the way the respond to the situation was convincing)

• The Man From Earth - Very well done. Takes place all in one room/location. Interesting.

• Dead Man's Shoes - I thought this was superb. Excellently acted, the scene following the drugs in the kettle was awesomely done. Will need to look for more by the writer and especially the director.
