+  * [[wp>Mortal Kombat]] (2021) - Better than I expected.  I'm not sure I'd recommened it to anyone though, but I like how realistically some of the actors took the roles.
+  * [[wp>Stowaway]] (2021) - While this was ok - and Anna Kendrick was better than I expected in this more serious role - the science was a bit annoying.  I don't understand (they didn't make it clear enough) why there was a time pressure toward the end.  Anyway, meh.
+  * [[wp>Ratcatcher]] (1999) - Interesting movie, I liked it.  The old Glasgow asthetic had me hooked from the start. I liked the director's style.  Wil check our another of her movies (We Need to Talk About Kevin) soon.
+  * [[wp>Nobody]] (2021) - I thought this was excellent.  Fun action movie in a similar vein to John Wick, but which takes itself a little less seriously.  It was good to see Bob Odenkirk stretching his acting chops.  Christopher Lloyd looked like he was having fun in the role too.

+  * [[wp>Jackie Brown]] - Wanted to show this to Naomi.  Not my favourite Tarantino movie, but I have a bit of a soft spot for it.  I listened to The Delphonics for a while after I first watched this movie.
+  * [[wp>Outside The Wire]] (2021) - This was awful.  The US military have a full artifically intelligent humanoid robot (and have had it for at least 3-5 years) and we just watched it run around with a gun for 2 hours?  Unimaginative crap.

+  * [[wp>Star Trek: First Contact]] (1996) - Felt like watching one of [the] TNG movies.  Good Star Trek movie, felt like a high budget episode, which is good.

+  * [[wp>Gremlins (film)|Gremlins]] (1984) - I was in the mood to watch this.  It's a Christmas movie!

+  * [[wp>Freaky (film)|Freaky]] (2020) - Meh, alright, the story was a bit mediocre.    Vince Vaughn did a decent job.  It felt like it was aimed toward young adults/teens despite it having an R rating.
+  * [[wp>Tenet (film)|Tenet]] (2020) - This was okay.  I was looking forward to it, but I didn't like it as much as I hoped.  I felt like there was something missing maybe.  Not sure.  I'll probably watch it again.

+  * [[wp>2067 (film)|2067]] (2020) - Meh, nothing of interest.
+  * [[wp>The_Collector_(2009_film)|The Collector]] (2009) - I found out about this in a list online of movies 'where the victim hold their own against the killer'.  Decent movie, pretty gruesome, might seek out the sequels.
+  * [[wp>The_Girl_in_the_Spider's_Web_(film)|The Girl In The Spider's Web]] (2018) - Pretty decent movie.  Not too much stood out though, I liked the character somewhat, though I was kinda hoping for more.  Sniper rifle was cool.
+  * [[wp>Mindwarp]] (1991) - A Bruce Campbell movie I hadn't seen already.  It was alright, the usual late 80s/early 90s shlock gore.  Interesting idea about the virtual worlds for 1991.  Not much new/interesting though.
+  * [[wp>The Green Mile]] (1999) - Good movie, I think I'd seen it before, but couldn't remember much of it.  Interesting story idea.  Great performances.
+  * [[wp>The Untouchables]] (1987) - We were watching this after hearing Sean Connery died.  This was ok.  Good performance from the cast.  Some of the cinematography was a little dated.

+  * [[wp>Borat Subsequent Moviefilm]] - Meh, some humorous moments but I didn't really enjoy this.  I think it's been 'done'.  That said, it's an interesting 'measure of our times' type movie.  The young girl was pretty good, I expect we'll see more of her.
+  * [[wp>Love and Monsters]] - I didn't expect much from this film, but I was pleasantly surprised.  One of the better 'journey while battling monsters' movies out there.  I should look out for more from this director/writer.
+  * [[wp>The Andromeda Strain (1971 film)|The Andromeda Strain]] (1971) - I liked this movie.  In typical 70s fashion it was slow and plodding at times, but I liked that aspect, I felt it added gravitas.  Good movie to watch during this Covid season.  It's got me wanting to watch a couple more 60s/70s movies now - I like that era of film making.
+  * [[wp>The Manchurian Candidate (2004 film)|The Manchurian Candidate]] (2004) - I'd heard a few references to these movies recently, which I hadn't seen, so wanted to cross them off the list.  Meh, simple story.  I actually preferred some of the imagery from the original movie (the flower lecture for example) and although I found the solitare scenes in the original a bit too much, it was good to have some sort of anchor which I felt was missing from this version.
+  * [[wp>Swordfish]] (2001) - I like this movie.  It still holds up well.  Some classic scenes :)  I wanted to show it to Naomi after I found out she hadn't seen it.  I still want that computer he uses.
+  * [[wp>The Manchurian Candidate (1962 film)|The Manchurian Candidate]] (1962) - I thought this was a good movie, but I didn't enjoy it much at all.  Pretty slow, felt like it needed better editing - I guess I've just been spoiled with modern film making.
+  * [[wp>Dirty Harry]] (1971) - Although this film looks so dated in a way, it's still pretty timeless for me.  Naomi hadn't seen it and I thought it might be a bit like Zodiac we saw recently (it wasn't as similar as I remembered).  I want to watch the sequels - I've only seen one or two of them I think.
+  * [[wp>American Pie presents Girls Rules]] (2020) - This was alright.  No real laugh out loud moments but I don't think I'm the intended audience.  It was interesting to see how these movies have developed for a modern audience.

+  * [[wp>Marionette]] (2020) - This was okay.  Pretty much what I expected, but fell sort of flat - I didn't like the ending.
+  * [[wp>Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon]] (2006) - I'd been meaning to watch this for a while.  There were some great references to slasher tropes that I enjoyed seeing.  Fun movie.
+  * [[wp>Stretch]] (2014) - Heh, this was fun.
+  * [[wp>Enola Holmes]] (2020) - Meh, kids movie.  Mille Bobby Brown was decent, I liked the 4th wall breaking.
+  * [[wp>Red Joan]] (2018) - This was ok.  The young Joan looked a bit like a cross between Emelia Clarke and Reese Wetherspoon.
+  * [[wp>All The Money In The World]] (2017) - I was hoping for a bit more from Ridley Scott, but the movie was just okay.  It was on Film4 while we were in a hotel for a night due to renovations.  Naomi fell asleep during it.
+  * [[wp>Oats Studios: Volume 1]] (2017) - A collection of short movies.  This was ok.  Not much stood out.  Kept me distracted when I couldn't sleep one night (watched on Prime).
+  * [[wp>The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes]] (1970) - Stumbled across this on Netflix and watched it while I was scanning family photos.  It was alright, had the feeling I might have seen it before (the general story was familiar).  They went straight into the drugs and sexuality of Sherlock quite quickly.  Meh, ok Sherlock movie.  Not a huge fan of the main actor.
+  * [[wp>The 6th Day]] (2000) - I love this film.  Some interesting ideas and the villian's scenes towards the very end are memorable for me.  Fun action movie, with a nice bit of futurism.
+  * [[wp>American Psycho (film)|American Psycho]] (2000) - Naomi hadn't seen this - I like this movie.  I've been meaning to read the book for literally 20 years - since high school.  Will try and read it next.
+  * [[wp>The Babysitter Killer Queen]] (2020) - Meh, this was a bit of a weak sequel, it was okay though.  More of the same from the first movie.  I liked some of the Scott Pilgrim like cinematography but it all felt a little forced.  I enjoyed seeing Samara Weaving again, even though she was only in this movie for a fraction of the time compared to the first.
+  * [[wp>Ghost (film)|Ghost]] (1990) - I've been wanting to rewatch this for a while.  I was interested in seeing how the heaven/hell creatures were represented - they seemed creepier (more like skeletons) in the version I saw, not sure if they changed/updated it or if it was just the higher quality version we had now.  The villian from this movie made me want to watch 6th Day again.
+  * [[wp>Zodiac (film)|Zodiac]] (2007) - We wanted to see something like this after just finishing The Fall.  I enjoyed this, pretty slow paced, but it was pretty much what I expected it.  Good cast of many familiar faces.  It featured a scene of Dirty Harry which makes me want to watch that next.
+  * [[wp>Bill and Ted Face The Music]] (2020) - I guess you have to see this if you are a Bill & Ted fan, but I didn't like it too much, just felt a bit forced and it sad to see them getting old.  Quite a few weird scenes and the plot was all over the place.  Could have been better.

+  * [[wp>Max Winslow and the House of Secrets]] (2020) - Sheesh, this was pretty terrible.  Cheesey and the acting was terrible.  Marina Sirtis as the AI sounded just dead inside.. which for an AI might be appropriate, but no, it was just bad.  Probably the worst film I've seen this year and I've seen some crap.
+  * [[wp>Superman Man of Tomorrow]] (2020) - Meh, pretty much what I expected.  Lotta people being thrown through buildings.  Kinda nice to see a slightly alternative origin story, but it wasn't that different from normal.
+  * [[wp>Sputnik_(film)|Sputnik]] (2020) - This was okay.  Acting was decent, and it was kind of a unique idea, but don't think I'd recommend it to anyone.
+  * [[wp>Guns Akimbo]] (2019) - Fun little over the top action movie.  Daniel Radcliffe was pretty good in it.  Samara Weaving looked a bit too crazy for me.. like Yolandi from Die Antwood.

+  * [[wp>Project Power]] (2020) - This was okay, lots of contrivances that annoyed me slightly, but a fun action/sci-fi movie overall.
+  * [[wp>Nightflyers]] (1987) - I'd meant to watch this before watching the new TV show - glad I didn't.  This was terrible.  I hard a lot of trouble following the plot generally - if I hadn't seen the TV show I'm not sure I would have understood anything.  It didn't help that the only copy I could find was terrible VHS quality.
+  * [[wp>Matrix Revolutions]] (2003) - I'm convinced Neo hasn't actually left the Matrix - yet.
+  * [[wp>Matrix Reloaded]] (2003) - I think this film (and the third) holds up well - almost as a stand alone movie, it doesn't deserve the hate it seems to get.  The way the architech speaks is how'd I'd imagine certain AIs would speak to humans - succintly verbose.
+  * [[wp>Matrix]] (1999) - I was inspired to rewatch the sequel after watching a review recently - Naomi and I worked through the trilogy over 3 nights.  We watched an HD blue ray version - not sure my projector is high enough quality for it to look all that different from the DVD.  I enjoyed this rewatch though.  Definitely a great movie.
