Books I'm currently reading
Coalescent (Destiny's Children Book 1) by
Stephen Baxter - I'm reading this for my sci-fi bookgroup. The bookgroup topic is hive minds. I'm 90% through this 400 page book and there has been almost no sci-fi at all. Not happy. If I didn't like the author I'd have stopped by now. This better get good quick. I guess I'm gonna have to read the trilogy now to find out why I read this first book.
On hold
Star Maker by
Olaf Stapledon - Borrowed this from Munro to read for a bookgroup. I found the first chapter overly flowery but by the second chapter I was hooked, and now I'm amazed how ahead of its time it was (for 1937). Still reading, waiting to find out about the Dyson/Stapledon sphere (started reading July 2017)

Transmetropolitan by
Warren Ellis - Not a novel, but a collection of 60 comics put together. I'm impressed with it so far, I like Spider (started reading in March 2016)
